As a career development consultant with over fifteen years’ experience, I am dedicated to helping clients find meaningful and fulfilling employment. My specialized background in career advisement, recruiting, and higher education has resulted in my in-depth knowledge of what makes a candidate stand out, get noticed and ultimately get hired. I founded SRO Career Consulting LLC in 2012, and as an independent career consultant have assisted hundreds of clients from C-suite executives in career transition to stay-at-home-moms reclaiming their role in the workforce to recent college graduates searching for that first real post-graduation job.

Prior to owning my own business, I was the Director of Employer Services at New York University’s Wasserman Center for Career Development where I managed one of the largest campus recruitment programs in the nation while assisting students and alumni with all aspects of career development. Before NYU, I was a career counselor at Pace University where I worked with a diverse population of traditional and non-traditional students and alumni on résumé writing, cover letter writing, interviewing, and job search strategies through one-on-one coaching as well as numerous workshops and seminars. I hold an EdM and an MA from Teachers College, Columbia University.

My desire to demystify the job search process for clients is a direct result of my own job search experiences. Upon graduation from Teachers College in 2000 with two Master's degrees coupled with a number of relevant job experiences and internships, I still struggled to find a job. Like so many qualified job seekers, I lacked the knowledge required to conduct a comprehensive job search, was unaware of how to best present myself on the résumé and lacked the ability to effectively sell myself during an interview. Although qualified on paper, I simply wasn’t getting the offers I felt I deserved. Once I learned how best to play the job search game and position myself effectively with employers, I received two offers within the first week. Ironically, this first job after graduate school was as a career counselor at Pace University.  It is this personal experience that fuels my passion to help clients successfully navigate the often tricky, sometimes beyond frustrating, job search game.

I look forward to our work together!

All the best,
